Miranda R. Johnson

Twenty-five years of building things that hold.

Construction. Trucking. Technology. I have built companies in rooms where nobody expected me, and now I build the platform and the classroom for the entrepreneurs coming up behind me.

Women Impact Network

Come find us. You do not have to know anybody to walk in.

WIN is a networking community for women in business and for women building careers inside somebody else's. Chapters meet across Tampa Bay every month, each one hosted by a leader who actually lives there. I run it as COO, and walking into a meeting is still the fastest way to meet me.

What I have built, and what you can use.

One platform, two courses, two books. The platform is the one I would point you at first.

MiRAjO Hub

Finishing is one part. Succeeding is another. The Hub measures both.

A program can report that ninety percent finished and never mention how many of them are still in business. Those two numbers live in different systems and nothing makes them meet. I built the MiRAjO Hub so an organization holds both in one record: who showed up, what they learned, who they met, and what it did for their business.

It is the business intelligence platform running underneath chambers, networks, CDFIs and workforce programs, Women Impact Network included. Members, courses, events, connections and resources in one place, and a report at the end you can put in front of a board or a funder.

The Long Version

Every business taught me what the next one would need.

I started my first business at twelve. My first licensed one at twenty. Everything since has been some version of the same work: look at what is broken, build the system that fixes it, then teach somebody else how to run it.

The first company was construction. Seven years subcontracting for national builders, DR Horton, Ryland Homes, America's Home Best, learning what it costs to be the only woman on a job site and to still be the one they call back. Then trucking, fifteen years and two companies, one of them built specifically to put women behind the wheel, twenty trucks running nationwide. Between the two industries I built roughly $9.5 million in combined revenue before MiRAjO ever existed.

Technology came into every one of those businesses before it was fashionable to say so. That is still the through line. Today I mentor and facilitate at BŪP Innovation, sitting with founders at hackathons who are building the thing they cannot yet explain to anybody else. And financial education has run underneath all of it, teaching business owners the practical version of what most people are charged a fortune to learn badly.

I am eighteen years into my second marriage, flaws and all, which is precisely why I built a course for couples in business together. I am the mother of five daughters, two still at home, and a grandmother to one. I hold a Florida real estate broker license and an active Commercial CDL-A, because I have never been interested in talking about work I have not done.

I built MiRAjO Collective in 2023 without knowing exactly what it would become. It found its shape by my being in the rooms that needed it: Women Impact Network, Tampa Business Club, the Tampa Bay Latin Chamber. Two books later, and a set of courses built on the frameworks I actually live by, the work is the same as it was on the first job site. Build something that holds.

If no seeds are planted, no harvest is expected.

One of the two frameworks I teach, alongside The Pain Principle. Neither one is complicated. Both of them are unforgiving if you skip the work.

Speaking

Bring me into your room

I have done the thing I am talking about.

Payroll met and payroll missed. Four industries. I do not speak about entrepreneurship from research, I speak about it from the inside, and I tell rooms the parts most people leave out.

I am not interested in sending people home inspired and unchanged. Inspiration wears off by the parking lot. What holds is language people can use on each other the next morning, and one decision they were avoiding that they are now willing to make.

Vision Board Workshop: Go Back to Go Forward
GŪD Essence · Clearwater, Florida

Not a craft session. A reset. We went back through the timeline, found the words that had quietly been shaping people's lives without their permission, and built the board around where they were headed instead.
